Alex Fairweather is a self-taught artist and illustrator from Los Angeles with an interest in historical mythologies. His work explores the detritus of history and its failures in an attempt to resurrect alternative, positive visions of what the future may hold. The artist uses traditional representational techniques to explore modern themes in an attempt to build towards a renaissance, rather than a revivification, of historical ideas and artistic approaches. The artist’s work includes color pencil, ink, and digital illustration in comic, portrait, and mural formats. Inquiries: isk.fairweather@gmail.com
His work has been featured by Razorcake Magazine, The Artists Gallery (Los Angeles, California), Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery (San Ramon, California), Brand Library & Art Center (Glendale California), Strathmore Gallery (Bethesda, Maryland), and digital publications such as Terravarna and Gallery 4% among other places.
